Project Description

Gas safe registered engineers!

The Core Domestic Natural Gas Safety and Appliances (CCN1) certification is a requirement for any operative wishing to work on domestic gas installations and appliances. The CCN1 is the core or initial qualification for engineers working on gas appliances, and must be successfully completed before further gas appliance qualifications can be attempted, such as:

  • Central Heating Boilers (CENWAT1)
  • Combustion Performance Analysis (CPA1)
  • Domestic Cookers (CKR1)
  • Gas Fires and Wall Heaters (HTR1)
  • Meters (MET1)
  • Warm Air Heating Appliances (DAH1)

As an emergent gas training centre based in Stirling, we’re ideally situated to train professionals located in the city or across the central belt of Scotland. With a dedicated team of experienced and highly qualified instructors, we pride ourselves on delivering effective, interactive and expertly structured training sessions. So whether you’re looking to continue your career working with boilers, cookers, or heaters, the CCN1 is essential and covers everything from gas safety to characteristics of combustion and current chimney standards.

Build Your Future With JSS Training

We’re focused on helping a diverse range of gas professionals in Stirling achieve their CCN1, including experienced gas engineers who have been qualified for some time and those who are due for their 5-year renewal. If you’re interested in our course because your previous CCN1 certification has now expired, please note you do have 12 months from your expiration date to sit the assessment as a reassessment, but if you’re unsure, please do not hesitate to contact a member of our team and we can run though everything in more detail with you.

Our goal is to provide you with the highest quality of training and assessment, so if you’re currently lacking in confidence, or perhaps received your last CCN1 5 years ago but only worked on a limited sub set of gas work, we are here to help. We love nothing more than helping talented engineers recognise and develop their skills, whilst bolstering their self-confidence.
